These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website travelia.co (the "Website") and the travel services, tours, and packages (collectively, the "Services") offered by Travelia Lda. ("Travelia," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Portugal under company number PT123456789, with our registered office at 24 Sunset Boulevard, Lisbon 1200-001, Portugal.
By accessing our Website or booking a tour through us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services. We recommend reading these Terms carefully before making a booking.
Key points: Your booking is subject to availability. A 20% deposit secures your trip, with the balance due 45 days before departure. You can cancel up to 60 days before departure for a full refund of the tour price (excluding the deposit). We are fully bonded and insured. Detailed terms follow.
You can submit a booking request through our Website, by email, or by phone. A booking is not confirmed until we issue a written Booking Confirmation. Until that point, no contract exists between you and Travelia.
Upon receiving your deposit payment (see Section 3), we will send you a Booking Confirmation by email. This document outlines your itinerary, total price, payment schedule, and any special conditions. It is your responsibility to review this document carefully and notify us of any errors within 48 hours.
The person making the booking (the "Lead Traveler") guarantees that they have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of all travelers in their group. The Lead Traveler is responsible for all payments and communications with Travelia.
If you have dietary, medical, accessibility, or other special requirements, you must inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate them, but cannot guarantee that all requests can be met by Suppliers.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the Tour Price is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date. If the booking is made within 45 days of departure, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, bank transfers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 Service Provider. Travelia does not store full credit card details.
Tour Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations, government taxes, or Supplier surcharges. If a price increase exceeds 8% of the total Tour Price, you have the right to cancel without penalty and receive a full refund (including the deposit). We will notify you of any price changes at least 30 days before departure.
If the balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit. A reminder will be sent 7 days before the due date.
All cancellation requests must be sent in writing (email is acceptable). The following cancellation charges apply:
Partial cancellations (reducing the number of travelers) are treated as amendments and may incur additional charges.
If you wish to change your travel dates, destination, or itinerary after the Booking Confirmation is issued, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Amendment fees of €50 per change apply, plus any Supplier charges.
We reserve the right to cancel or significantly alter a tour for reasons including, but not limited to, insufficient bookings, safety concerns, or Force Majeure. In such cases, we will offer you:
We will not be liable for any incidental expenses (e.g., visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flight tickets) unless caused by our negligence.
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you and all travelers in your group possess valid passports (with at least 6 months' validity beyond the return date) and all necessary visas, permits, and vaccinations. Travelia provides general guidance but is not responsible for denied entry due to incomplete documentation.
You must check health requirements for your destination(s) and consult a medical professional before travel. We recommend travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and repatriation.
You are advised to review travel advisories issued by your government. Travelia monitors major advisories and will notify you of any that affect your booking.
Travelia acts as a booking agent and tour operator. We exercise reasonable care in selecting Suppliers, but we are not liable for their acts, omissions, or negligence. Our liability is limited to the total Tour Price paid by you, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence.
All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective Suppliers (airlines, hotels, activity providers). These are available upon request and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform its obligations under these Terms if such failure is due to a Force Majeure event. In such circumstances, we will work with Suppliers to secure refunds where possible, but cannot guarantee outcomes.
We reserve the right to remove any traveler from a tour if their behavior is disruptive, dangerous, or illegal. In such cases, no refund will be given, and any repatriation costs are your responsibility.
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all our tours. Your policy must cover medical expenses, emergency repatriation, trip cancellation, lost luggage, and personal liability. You must provide us with your insurer's name and emergency contact number before departure.
We offer insurance through our partner, World Nomads. If you choose not to purchase through us, you confirm that your own policy meets the above minimum requirements.
If you encounter any problem during your tour, you must report it immediately to our 24/7 support line or your local guide so we can resolve it promptly. Failure to do so may affect your right to compensation.
Complaints made after your return should be sent in writing to support@travelia.co within 28 days of your tour's end date. We will acknowledge receipt within 48 hours and provide a substantive response within 28 days.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with your Booking Confirmation, our Privacy Policy, and any Supplier terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Travelia regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
